Job details:
Business Analysts review processes, identify data/information management gaps and support the business area to identify technical solutions that will enhance data collection and management. They support development of policy and governance requirements to establish clear measures that enable delivery on leadership requirements and ensure commonwealth funds are appropriately managed/allocated.
Candidates must have an active Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Security Clearance.
ASD will not sponsor candidates to upgrade their security clearances in order to apply for the role.

Key duties and responsibilities:
ASD requires an APS6 equivalent Business Analyst to provide detailed business analysis, feasibility assessments, data modelling, requirements definitions and management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Manages the execution of business process improvements. Analyses and designs business processes to identify alternative solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness and exploit new technologies and automation. If you have any further requirements or desired attributes.
  • Develops graphical models of business processes to facilitate understanding and decision-making. Assesses the feasibility of business process changes and recommends alternative approaches.
  • Identify, tailor and implements methods and tools for improving business processes and data collection.
  • Adopts holistic view to identify and analyse problems and opportunities.
  • Perform independent research work and analysis including the preparation of reports, identifying information collection gaps and project milestones.
